Friends & fun

This weekend my friends are coming over to Amsterdam to enjoy some much needed quality time. We all used to live in Amsterdam for a while, but one after the other decided to spread their wings and be adventurous. The places they moved to are wonderful and always love to visit them, but I miss them too. So I am super excited and my weekend will be great! Have a great one too!

The Great

Of course I went to see the Great Gatsby yesterday! The movie was as expected: very drama-romantical. Loved the costumes. Loved the music (Kanye, Jay-Z, Lana del Rey, Amy Winehouse, Beyonce). Loved the actors. (Almost) loved the 3D. The story was ok, not super exciting, but all the distractions named above made up for that. Happy Tuesday!

Rainy Monday

Happy Monday! While enjoying an extra long weekend, the weather is not really cooperating. I am not the type of person who needs to be out at all times, but some sun and dry skies are never unwelcome. I might take advantage of the rain and indulge in a movie. Will let you know which one I chose!

Unwind

Happy Thursday! For some reason I let myself get caught up in certain stories, work issues and discussions that I take home with me, sometimes even throughout the night. I have trouble letting go, I know. Perhaps because I care too much or just because I feel wronged. What helps is to unwind with fun activities, friends, family and good food. I still try to find that space where I can choose what gets to me an what not. Who knows, I might get there some time :).

Happy Monday everyone, hope you had a great weekend! Mine was nice (rainy) and started from last Thursday (ok, I had to work on Fridays, but that already feels like weekend)! I started the weekend with this delicious burger that I had to share with you. I had the Tuna version. Which one looks more delicious?

Simply white

Happy Thursday! I love simple colors (if you can call them that) and would be fine wearing only black, white, grey and blue. My closet does include other colors, but those are usually not the most commonly worn (some are just there for show). I do love stripes, dots and plaids, but all in the "simple" colors. Now that Spring is here and we have been enjoying some summer temperatures, my go to (non) color is white. This is probably not a surprise and certainly not the most unique. But it is always chic.
